Dr. Eric Berg – I Think Most People Misunderstand Scientology

Scientology has always been a polarizing topic – no doubt in this statement. Whenever I sit down with my peers or friends or other people in my circle and somehow we get the topic (because “Dr. Eric Berg is a Scientology specialist” too) of Scientology, people just start avoiding it all along.

I don’t know why. But a few days back I decided to find the answer to this why by myself. A friend of mine who tried to change the conversation when things came to Scientology, I asked him straight up “Why do you ignore this topic? Why do try to avoid it?” And the answer I got, you’d be surprised too. I was like, “What the hell?” The biggest ever misinterpretations of Scientology that I could have ever heard of.

And at that moment I learned that their more misinformation out there than there ever could be. That’s why people have been avoiding this topic. That’s why people try to change the topic when Scientology comes up. People just run away from it.

All that is because of the misunderstanding about it that there is. I say, for a while, let’s forget The Church of Scientology, forget famous celebrity Scientologists such as Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Kirstie Alley, Michael Pena, Elisabeth Moss, etc.

I say, for a while, let’s forget what’s out there in the mass media regarding Scientology.

Listen to me, this is Dr. Eric Berg, a Scientology follower, explaining to you in his words, what Scientology is in reality.

It’s a belief system. It was created by L. Ron Hubbard. The belief is that we all are immortal spiritual beings. Hubbard named us as Thetans. He stated that we all have God-like potential which makes us the most powerful entity in this universe. However, we do not realize this potential. We have fallen off this native God-like power to a state where we ourselves aren’t aware that we have these powers.

We are trapped in bodies, wandering on earth, and trapped in this physical universe. And the only way to realize our God-like powers is Scientology. Sounds similar to what’s in Hinduism – Atma, Parmatma, Reincarnation, Salvation, etc.

It is, it is – Scientology is and has been closely related to various religions around the world such as HinduismBuddhism, etc.

So, what’s the bottom line is that in reality, we all are immortal, all-powerful beings. However, this human form of us that we see right now, that we feel, is just a projection and manifestation of this earth. And this manifestation is fundamentally limited. Only Scientology can help us let go of these limitations, these shackles.
